who is gonna do yours? I've been wanting to have Kylar's name on my wrist (if Blue doesn't kill me for it). I go back and forth b/c I/m not sure how future employers would feel about that esp. if I get a teacher job. </div></div>
Joe over at 2ton tat2.. he does all my work now.. it's over behind Sagebrush in Kingsport.. him or Tom are fantastic and won't do you wrong.
I have 1 on my wrist and it's easily covered up by a watch or bracelet or long sleeves..
but in todays society.. unless it's specificially stated in the application, you cannot get denied a job because of a tattoo.. it's considered discrimination.

In Virginia you can legally be fired for nearly any reason - it's an at-will employment state. Grievances and lawsuits can be filed but it's hard to win.
<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">The courts of Virginia follow an "employment-at-will" doctrine. At-will employees may be terminated for any reason, so long as it is not illegal. Generally, employees who work under an employment contract can only be terminated for reasons specified in the contract. However, in Virginia, the mere fact that an employment contract is in writing is not sufficient to overcome the presumption that the employment is at-will. To overcome this presumption, an employment contract must directly limit, in a meaningful and special way, the employer's right to terminate the employee without cause. In other words, the employer has to unequivocally indicate that it will not terminate the employee except under specific circumstances.
</div></div>

Under the public-policy exception to employment at will, an employee is wrongfully discharged when the termination is against an explicit, well-established public policy of the State.
For example, in most States, an employer cannot terminate an employee for filing a workers' compensation claim after being injured on the job, or for refusing to break the law at the request of the employer. The majority view among States is that
public policy may be found in either a State constitution, statute, or administrative rule, but some States have either restricted or expanded the doctrine beyond this bound.
The public-policy exception is the most widely accepted exception, recognized in 43 of the 50 States. </div></div>
That being said, though, times are changing and people no longer frown upon tattoos quite as much as they usd too. At my f/t office the tattooed outnumber the non-tattooed probably 2:1 if not greater.
You'll shoot your eye out.
